Em entrevista a um veículo de imprensa, o ex-vice-prefeito Coca Ferraz declarou apoio ao pré-candidato a deputado federal Nino Mengatti (PSB), que apoia a candidatura de Lula (PT) à Presidência da República e Haddad (PT) a governador. Ou seja, Coca está apoiando a esquerda.
Detalhe: Coca foi vice de Barbieri entre 2013 e 2016. Já Nino foi coordenador de Barbieri e ocupou secretarias durante sua gestão à frente da Prefeitura de Araraquara. Ou seja, a velha política de Araraquara dá mostras de união, novamente.
Barbieri já havia anunciado sua pré-candidatura a deputado estadual pelo MDB.
